V-Minion chamber
After the printer is heated in the chamber, the X axis tilts.

Without the chamber is always perfect
Adjust X axis or bed?

Can I jump in here.. This is what mine looks like after i took out the silly nylon washers. Was that a mistake. I think this is okay but a vote of confidence would help.

this is really good awesome actually.
did you replace the nylon washers? do you only have metal sleeves?

Thanks Seriosha! My brain couldn't figure out why they were even used. I thought it might have been to keep heat from transferring away from the bed but I have done a few prints, one taking over three hours, and the Y-axis never got hot.

Yup, left took all six of them off left just the metal sleeves. Said a little prayer, started a fire and then burned them.

Heat and electrical Isolation are what i think.
The heat just transfers way faster at these parts of the bed, so you need more power to keep temperature, and also have probably less hot zones in this region of the bed.
Electrical insulation should be given by the eloxated mounting plate, but you can never be sure with that.
Then again, depending on the printer, that's not such a big problem

Electrical isolation maybe but it would be for naught. If the heating element shorted against the bed the isolation wouldn't do any thing really because the screws holding the bed to the carriage go through the bed then through the bed mounting plate so there would be a path for the current.. anyway, mine is printing very well at the moment. quite happy with the results.

the mounting plate is eloxated, which insulates in itself, and you have again nylon shims on the lower side. so chances that there IS insulation is actually given. But it should not matter, if its 24V it's not the end of the wolrd, and if its 220V, you should have the bed grounded anyway 😉
