Just curios, did they fix Steam on Ubuntu, of it is broken as always?
Installed that "Proton" thing, enabled it, and even a coupe of Visual Novels and Puzzles installed successfully. Among 5 games - only One worked.

like the linux download link for steam on their site is a deb file

You cant install Steam from official marketplace - broken dependencies. Sure for linux nerds its not a problem they will rebuild and patch Steam, but I'm lazy and expected Steam should at least install without pain. I dont remember how I fixed, googled and found topic with same issue - 2 years old (installation not worked several years).

The issue was from updated libs in new Ubuntu version, but Steam used old, and Installation failed. I solved all Issues installing Windows back after several month of suffering

That Snap is true evil, I was naive, installed Docker from Snap. And it just hanged with 100% memory and cpu load. Normal version, worked perfect, better than on Windows.

I used Manjaro several months, it was good and fast, but that multimonitor issue was too much for me. I got used that Windows remember my windows when I switch monitors, but Manjaro can't do it.
(I use PC + Laptop + monitor switcher, Windows handles it ok).
