How to address Z binding?

I find lots of posts mentioning z binding. But I'm not finding much on how to address the binding.
RIght now the z movement is louder than when I first got the machine up and running. I want to see if I can get the problem fixed.

My machine is a VCore 500 3.0. I'll be doing the 3.1 upgrade as soon as my PrusaBear is finished.
