YT Shorts
I’m noticing my YT are slowly getting popular then my vids whys that? I uploaded a Wednesday edit & its slowly getting popular! I’m guessing is because YT Shorts make u even popular?

Shorts are pushed more by the youtube Algorithm at the moment as it's their attempt to compete with Tiktok and are generally more accessible than long form content. Shorts can't be over 1 minute long at best and because of that, they're easier for people to just sit down and watch while mindlessly scrolling. In addition, short appeal to the short attention span tiktoker kind of audience, thus appealing to a group who most likely won't watch long-form content normally.
Shorts may make you more popular, but consider shorts a separate entity from your long-form content, as in my experience, the two audiences rarely overlap for the two.
So if I upload more YT shorts it’ll make me popular?
I mean.....you might get more subscribers. I don't know if you'll become a more well-known creator in the long run though. Shorts haven't been out long enough to see if there's long-lasting effects to it.

In my opinion through shorts it might be hard to build your YouTube subs community
