Muffled Audio
I don't have an actual mic so I'm turning my phone into one but it gives off a really bad muffled audio

Now before answering, do your research
"Just buy a good mic" "ofcourse it'll sound bad" are pretty lazy answers
Often people manage to turn them into pretty good mics
Probably have dust or something in the mic
Anyone know how to clear that?
Either take it to a professional or try pry it out with something that doesn’t conduct electricity
Like a tooth pick but you have to be very gentle
Or something could break
Sometimes compression can make it sound muffled so make sure when your moving it anywhere or your phone doesn't do any compression
Depending on what phone you have, it may also be affected by how close or far your phone is from your mouth.
Compression in what sense? Audio quality or that obs filter where low volumes are increased?
Hello?
Depending on how you transfer your audio file
Some apps may compress your files#
I see
What's your audio settings on obs? If you use it?
Try loading an audio recording into audacity and see what you can do with it to help clear up the audio. Applying a noise gate and reduction filter may help.
