i think walmis said a lot of rhinos were waiting on an extra part he didn't have in stock, like the monstertech plate or grip specific adapter, which made them seem to fly off the shelf
So after clicking rescale axis I didnt notice a change in DCS and I also went into windows game controller settings but it still takes full deflection on X + Y to reach the end. The "endstops" feature where it creates force seems to be working however, just not the axis rescale... did I do anything wrong?
Nope, that's not possible with motors, they have limited torque and limited control bandwidth (magnetic flux doesn't energize and dissipate instantly) so you can only come close to true hardware end stops.
is there a way we can collaboratively work on a document that walmis can use as a manual? Something like a chuck's guide, complete with examples for each setting and maybe youtube links?
Hey, thanks for this. I was thinking of something along those lines, like a "live" manual which can be constantly improved. Probably Google docs might be a reasonable option
ok! make a google sheets link, add me to those who can edit and I'll start working on it. It may have typos, errors or simply be bad but at least you'll be able to add comments to fix without taking much of your time
Hey @.flatspin, So the last Shipped RHINO is #0057 on 2023-02-21 Average waiting time from preorder to shipped is 138 days, median is 156 days, max is 209 days 54 Rhinos are shipped in total
I added pics of the VPConfigurator software screens to the document. I started adding descriptive text as well. I do not have nice pics of the hardware and as mine is already installed, it is not really photogenic. It would be nice to have pics of a brand new one (without dust) on a nice wooden table with side lighting. I will wait for feedback before proceeding.
Finally got it mounted in my rig! This thing is a beast. What’s the best way to learn how to use the config software? Is there a quick start guide somewhere?
yep, from my experience DCS has always been fine with disconnecting & reconnecting devices, so you should be able to just turn off the Rhino then swap grips over.
