ok! make a google sheets link, add me to those who can edit and I'll start working on it. It may have typos, errors or simply be bad but at least you'll be able to add comments to fix without taking much of your time

I added pics of the VPConfigurator software screens to the document. I started adding descriptive text as well. I do not have nice pics of the hardware and as mine is already installed, it is not really photogenic. It would be nice to have pics of a brand new one (without dust) on a nice wooden table with side lighting. I will wait for feedback before proceeding.

Hey m8, from my understanding both DCS & the RHINO will let you hotswap, IL2 BoX is not so good with hot swapping either is MSFS2020.

yep, from my experience DCS has always been fine with disconnecting & reconnecting devices, so you should be able to just turn off the Rhino then swap grips over.

So yeah, you can hot-plug grips to Rhino and with a change of button profile you can adapt different grips. You can also change the Rhino device ID and the game will think it's a different device and apply a different button mapping.

So this can all be done while DCS is running. IDK exactly how the different grips work, but I'm thinking like F16 grip has buttons 1-20 doing whatever and I can map that in DCS. Then can I just pull it off and have the F18 grip on with its own buttons 1-20 mapped to whatever on a different plane? Or would there be more involved?

Also do you support the axis function for virpil grips?

Can someone attest to the IL-2 having an inaccurate FFB implementation? I recall watching a discussion on a Russian channel about this issue.
Essentially, the way that IL-2 simulates loadings on the stick (for springed joysticks), is to require you to pull back more on the physical stick as a way to simulate a stiffening of control surfaces.
When FFB is enabled, this phenomenon persists, leading to an uneven force requirement as you pull back.
