Can't connect online on NBA 2K21 on Steam Deck
Hi!
I have been trying to get MyCareer working on 2k, playing on my steam deck. The game runs well enough, but doesn't connect to online servers. The game says that it cannot connect to the servers and then throws either the error code 2fd7b735 or 4b538e50. Heroic is using Wine-GE-Proton7-38, which says that it doesn't support sync saves. I can't seem to open discord through heroic on the steam deck so I can't get the log files and such here. Is there something I can do, or do I have an offline version of NBA 2K21 now?

why do you need to open discord through heroic?
maybe try enabling the
EOS Overlay (go to the game page clicking the game card in the library > click on the 3 dots menu in the top right corner > Enable EOS Overlay), maybe that fixes the server connectiongenetic-orangeOP•3y ago
Oh I was just taking the path of least resistance. Anyways, I enabled EOS overlay, and it didn't change anything.

Oh! I didn't know this, but I found out that NBA 2K shuts down servers to old games. 2k21
's server being closed Jan 1, 2023. So yeah, that's why the servers don't work.
