Can't connect online on NBA 2K21 on Steam Deck

I have been trying to get MyCareer working on 2k, playing on my steam deck. The game runs well enough, but doesn't connect to online servers. The game says that it cannot connect to the servers and then throws either the error code 2fd7b735 or 4b538e50. Heroic is using Wine-GE-Proton7-38, which says that it doesn't support sync saves. I can't seem to open discord through heroic on the steam deck so I can't get the log files and such here. Is there something I can do, or do I have an offline version of NBA 2K21 now?
