Roblox error 268, "You have been kicked due to unexpected client behavior"
(Log was not attachable in native position, see log below)
Game installs and launches with latest Proton, and while servers momentarily join, I was almost immediately kicked due to error 268. I have tried no fixes for this.

With wine-ge we have better logs and maybe see if the game misses some extra libs
Heroic > wine manager > latest wine-ge
Make sure to enable dxvk and vkd3d in game settings

Quite right. From my brief research of it, it seems that the client might be checking all network connections or other activities on the PC and then reporting them to the server. If the server then decides that something doesn’t look right, it kicks the client.

I think using regular wine, GE actually breaks Heroic, as it fails to launch the installer, and when I set the installer as the main executable to force it to run, it complains that the wine version path is invalid, and then suggests the same version of wine I already selected.
Then, when I finally do get it to run, installation halts because of a share violation, or something like that.
I will, I’m just trying solutions in order.

Meta-topic, I am kind of surprised that Heroic isn’t presumed to be in use on the Heroic Discord server.
I don’t think that’s a problem, in fact, it’s very helpful. Just unexpected.

Well it often is, (unless the post has the non-heroic tag), but I was surprised you were using heroic for roblox over grapejuice.

Grapejuice (on Flatpak at least) seems heavily borked.
There’s no play button, and every button just seems to install Roblox again.
Roblox Studio cannot log in.
Bother, the Flatpak is out of date.
Well, hmm. Grapejuice package isn’t working either.

Which distro are you using? I had issues using Grapejuice from Flatpak on Fedora as it seems to be broken. The only version that worked normally for me was the one installed from the source: https://brinkervii.gitlab.io/grapejuice/docs/Installing-from-source.html.
By the way, you might need to switch the 'Roblox Renderer' option to DX11 in 'Studio' prefix and turn on the 'Use Dxvk D3D implementation' option as Roblox Studio doesn't work with native Vulkan/OpenGL on Linux. I also recommend doing this on the 'Player' prefix for better performance.
And don't forget to update Grapejuice before enabling 'Use DXVK D3D implementation', if you installed Grapejuice from source

but by default
it's like windows
you go into the website
and click play on whatever game you wanna play

Grapejuice adds a desktop shortcut, you can run "Roblox App" from your app launcher
Although you can use website instead, you dont have to
