Ayou have two separate devices, but there's a loopback app that allows the VPForce configurator to see the buttons on the grip
Ain DCS you have the VKB stick and the Rhino base separately
Ayou can still use vkb software to configure the grip
NAh that’s a shame but not the end of the world
Awell the vkb thing is in competition for my least favorite software of all time

NI don’t really use any of the standalone softwares, I usually just configure what I need in the games I use it in
AIIRC the issue was that Walmis wasn't able to decode the VKB grip's protocol so using the blackbox was the only option
Avirpil and TM are directly compatible, winwing adapter talks to the Rhino base and VKB needs the blackbox in addition to the adapter

AI put off extended testing because I've been waiting for a new computer, but I've done a fair bit of initial stuffs

AF-14 is supposed to be really good, but I don't have it
Ahelicopters are awesome even though they only do the force trim, no shakes or stuff

NI’ve been looking into whether it’s even worth it for ex. the F16 or F18, especially for the upcoming Eurofighter
AI did a little bit of flying with the 18 and it works fine in it, no forces and the specifics of the real controller (like AoA dependent resistance etc.) are not modeled
A16 is a bit of a special case if you want to emulate the feel of the real thing in any way
NBit of a shame, but it may just be how modern fly-by-wire feels(?)

Areal controllers aren't spring loaded
NI heard a reviewer say the default stick feel of the Rhino is really good too, as opposed to the spring and cam sticks that are otherwise at the high end market
Ait was kind of a revelation to see what kind of machinery airbus used in the 320's small sidestick
Ait's full of dampers and stuff to get the feel right
AI tested and reviewed vkb, virpil and winwing bases (and have used tm stuff + mods for years) last year and so far I vastly prefer the Rhino over all of them

NYeah it’s definitely something I would love to try.. whether I want to pay 800€ though 
AThe feel of the motors, wheels and belts just feels more like wheels, pulleys and stuff in real planes
AI'm one of the people who can't stand the dampers on regular stick bases
AI can't make them work without significant sticktion
ARhino feels just right for me and of course it's pretty adjustable in software if you want more dampening or whatever
Amy fingers are still bleeding from trying out different configurations in the GF3 base

Ato be honest I haven't actually done much adjusting, though, the stick was pretty much perfect for me right out of the box

NHeh well I’m not exactly in a position to have tried them all, but I am pretty happy with the GF3. The configuring of it is not easy, though
NI’m probably not gonna be buying the Rhino anytime soon either but it does definitely seem like the flightsim stick dream
AI liked the GF3 a lot even though the virpil base was my favorite largely because of the ease of use but also because of zero center detent, which is a personal preference of mine
NWhenever they call me up and tell me I’ve won the lottery that I don’t participate in, I’ll get one immediately
NOh that’s on the GF too, the space cams have no detent there
