NThat’s the stage I’m going through at the minute
Awell I reviewed three different bases last summer, my fingers were basically shredded
Avirpil was quite nice, though
Abut not sliders-in-software nice
Ato be honest I haven't actually done much adjusting, though, the stick was pretty much perfect for me right out of the box
Aespecially now with the throw limiters
NHeh well I’m not exactly in a position to have tried them all, but I am pretty happy with the GF3. The configuring of it is not easy, though
NI’m probably not gonna be buying the Rhino anytime soon either but it does definitely seem like the flightsim stick dream
AI liked the GF3 a lot even though the virpil base was my favorite largely because of the ease of use but also because of zero center detent, which is a personal preference of mine
NWhenever they call me up and tell me I’ve won the lottery that I don’t participate in, I’ll get one immediately
NOh that’s on the GF too, the space cams have no detent there

NAnother concern I had was a guy on youtube having it overheat after about 90 minutes of stress testing. That’s admittedly a lot, but I do tend to use it for very long DCS sessions now and then, so maybe that could be relevant to me
PHey m8, not sure if this got covered or not but, Walmis has made a Loopback app that can effectively make any grip show up as apart of the Rhino base, then use something like HID Hide to stop the sim/game from seeing the joystick separately. I do this for my VKB KG12 v2 grip in IL2 as I have reached the 8 usb limit for that sim.

Pyep, use the VPforce Loopback app to "join" the grip & base, then use HIDHide to hide the joystick from whatever sim you choose

NI don’t think “overheating” is necessarily the right term, but the reviewer mentions heat protection measures when it hit 50 degrees

Poh, sorry just miss read, that's funny I've played IL2 for a good few hours before & had no trouble, DCS lately has just been training missions though doing those for a good couple hrs at a time I never even heard the fans kick in very loud, or at all really, got a link?
Ado note that by the time you reach that point you will probably feel like you've been wrestling with the plane
Ait's also one of the compromises FFB sticks all tend to make
NYep, it was a stress test for the purpose of overheating it, but my concern is primarily that I would be using it less intensely but for multiple hours at a time

Athe ability to provide max force indefinitely requires either incredible cooling or setting the forces really low
