f1-8x and f1-8x 722
For anyone who owns both versions of the f1-8x can you say which one feels and sounds better than each other. I had heard the spacebars sounded different. Thanks in advance.

Can I swap the assembled pcb and plate from 8x to 722?

one's not better than the other. They're both similar in sound. Just slightly different due to difference in design

Lower front height on the 722 means the spacebar has less internal volume to work with - which subjectively makes the 722 sound worse than the og
But the 722 is also significantly more 'designed' than the og so that's another point to consider if you don't want just a slab of metal on your desk
Do you think that I should wait and buy a f1-8xv2 or just go ahead and buy a f1-8x 722
both will be great. the differences are minute.
i have swapped the same assembly between the two and could not find any difference other than the front height.
unless you're intently listening to the board, they sound very similar too.
(722 is a tad bit quieter, but i really have to be searching for the difference)
f1-8xv2 or just go ahead and buy a f1-8x 722first f1? either should be fine. check the side profile and the back accent bar - pick which you find to be prettier.
I meant the f1-8x v2 that apparently will be coming out sometime in June. Do you feel like the f2-84 is a good option. I’ve heard that it was sort of a downgrade from what made the f1-8x great.
The f2 was noticeably stiffer yes
Though re the og vs 722 question, I feel like if you're poring over it to this degree you should probably try to look for an og - or you might end up with a 722 and always be wondering if the og is just that little bit better?
I prefer my F2 over my F1-8x
