Mosquito is just too sensitive with a stick. I have to use a curve of 50 in DCS (without FFB) to fly it comfortably, it allows for much better guns control, and overall is pleasant. Without curves it's like 1mm up and it's stalling, 1mm down and it's diving...

That was my initial impression, yes
I got a little more into constantly trimming for starters
And I think my brain just got used to moving the stick by tickle only
I'm quite happy in it now and I've had some fun dogfighting it on the 4ya server too when an a8 shows up and thinks he can turnfight it

Yeah... Rhino's motor strength is perfect with 10cm extension, with the innate gimbal's height it's at ~23cm total + grip, at least to me. With the additional 20cm I added = yes, motors could be 30% stronger, but frankly I already got used to the current strength, so it doesn't bother me too much if at all....

also you need to set the brake saturation at 30 so when you touch them you dont nose over

my comments were about the ptich/roll axis, the FFB ones. The brakes are non-ffb so curves for those work just fine, yup..

Even on the f14 for example I’d like to have a bit either curve or stronger resistance. Which I know the stick itself is capable of but it just isn’t set up that way so idk

I have the vkb version of that grip, the mcgu, when I link it with the loopback app I get a constant button press from the flip down trigger, have you checked the flip trigger? Sorry I know that's an obvious one but just a start point

I'm starting to think curves with FFB are a bit too complicated.
Let's say we trim to this position, what happens next? We end up on a rising slope and small inputs will cause large outputs. The curve benefits are then nullified. Not sure if it's plausible to move the curve along with the trim position, will need to research into that.

Difficult because the output endpoints need to remain at (-1,-1) and (1,1). So if you shift the 0,0 to the trim position it changes the shape of the curve

Took me a hot minute to figure this out with my Brunner. With RHINOs increased motor strength, larger control throws should negate the need for curves I would think. At least what I’m hoping.

The mozzie is fine, it's similar to how the spitfire feels. Very twitchy initially and then once you get used to it it's fine.

This still has the best dynamic campaign out of any combat sim, ever since I played DCS & IL2 I've heard people comment 'if only DCS/IL2 had Falcon 4's dynamic campaign'.
