ChatGPT is actually pretty useful to try & understand codebases in languages you don't know very well. You can copy past a whole function & ask it to esplain step by step. It is able to infer what variables are for just by looking at their names & contextual use in the funtion, even if the variable declaration wasn't present in the prompt. I'm currently using ChatGPT to go through OpenXR sample code
