How to keep people's attention during stream

I've been streaming for a few months on YouTube. Does anyone have any tips on how i can get people to stay longer for the stream and be more active? The picture is from my stream yesterday. I got raided by a friend at the spike there. But i want tips on what to do or how to act to make viewers stay for longer. I also sometimes have an issue that people don't talk in chat. There can be 12 viewers, and only 2 people actually typing in chat... Even tho i try to ask questions and include everyone (like always welcoming the new names i see etc). How do i improve?

What videos are you recording? Although you can’t just cut live streams, some parts of the live may be boring and people has to wait, but instead they leave it. Try to liven up your livestream and attract more viewers and make it more hyper and people might stay on your live

Talk about anything that interests you and people are not obligated to listen, so if someone is interested they will stay

Besides the obvious ones like engage with your viewers and make good content, you could do little side games with viewers every 30 minutes or so? Some of those games where the viewers can get involed like Marbles On Stream or Jackbox Party. Sort of need more than 4-5 people to make those interesting though. The main things with streams is people will drop in and out all the time, just how it goes. Keep grinding and you'll slowly get your loyal viewers kk
