Trim moves the control surface. That’s what’s happening in most conventional aircraft. But the pilot feels this as if pulling or pushing against a force, that is relieved by trimming. That’s how I fly anyway. I control the stick with my hands, and then trim out the forces.
But the SAAB MFI-15 Safari that I trained on, could loop from elevator trim only🙂 It had a stabilator though.
