iPhone upload problems.
I'm trying to upload an album from my iPhone. It it's named "Feestdagen/kerst". I have selected this album to backup. On immich server these were already backed up, but I wanted to make sure all of them were safely backed up.
When I look in the timeline, I only see the cloud without check. When going in to the albums and scrolling down to albums on this device, I can see that specific album I have just backed up. I see many pictures with cloud indicating it has not been uploaded, but also some that are checked.
This is weird considering I have just uploaded the whole album, I even ran missing jobs. When I go to the same album but than on immich, it displays the same pictures but without the check, whilst the same pictures in the album on device display they have not been uploaded.
What is going on here?

Both albums have the same number of images. When visiting the timeline I sometimes see both images, and it indicates that most are not backed up, whilst I just ran the backup on that album
I could remove the images from immich, and remove the album from backup and redo it?
Many of the dates are also incorrect it seems.
Currently, the app has a notion of remote and local assets, and this depends on the backup album you selected for backup. If the assets in the album are backup, it is considered both local and remote, so it displays the cloud with check mark.
The cloud only icon meaning it is the remote assets only
It can be a but misleading if you upload assets in album A then later on select assets in album B to backup. In this scenario, all the assets in album A will be considered cloud only with the cloud only icon. And the assets in album B will be considered both local and remote with cloud and checkmark icon
Does it make sense?
Yes it does, so If I have an album that is already on immich called album01 and I also have the album on phone called album, and they are both identical. And I select the album on phone to upload the clouds may differ but I won't actually have double assets on server? My idea was to remove the assets from immich and re-upload them, because somehow the Metadata is off on many of my assets which is really weird considering these images are untouched.
What I think is weird is that if I visit their overview in shared view. I little of the pictures on the right time or at all. That is something I don't understand, I uploaded them so I would expect them to be there.
Especially the Metadata on those pictures makes no sense whatsoever
I don’t really understand the situation you describe. Can you show screenshot with the step you’ve done and the expected result

Whatsapp strips the metadata from photos
Resulting in the date changing to the fornload date
