each Containerfile build needs to have it's own mkdir -p /var/lib/alternativesmkdir -p /var/lib/alternatives if it's going to install any RPMs which need alternatives... so, IMHO, it's just a nice default hack until upstream Fedora and/or package maintainers find better solutions for alternatives

i hadn't really had a chance to look, but the reason main is failing https://github.com/ublue-os/main/actions/runs/5150393847/jobs/9274470128 is not necessarily because rpm-fusion updated kernels, but rather because akmods has not succeeded SINCE rpm-fusion updated
