My thought was, if I use D1 to store Session Tokens (sorted) it would be 100x cheaper then KV. Even tho KV is basically the perfect fit for it.

No, it’s more that if you accidentally break your database by using some buggy code locally, then you can’t just rollback when you stop the dev session. It doesn’t affect your deployed code, and once the D1 backup restore thing, then you can roll it back manually

If you're doing lookups by some form of UUID, then you should create an index on that column so that your
