problem how to install RatOS-v2.0.1 on Pad 5

Good afternoon, does anyone have a tutorial on how to install RatOS-v2.0.1 on Pad 5 of Big Tree. I'm trying the old way but when I turn on the pad's LCD it blocks access to RatOS-v2.0.1 and keeps asking for the password on the display itself as if it were putty

this is normal if the correct dtoverlay isn't used. Refer to the pad5 manual for the bullseye use a keyboard default password is "raspberry".

I followed his manual to enable the usb and the display then started to show this message on the screen. I'm thinking that this line in the manual to activate the display is incorrect. because I enter and manage to configure normal mice. when I put this line in putty to turn on the display "sudo wget https://datasheets.raspberrypi.com/cmio/dt-blob-disp1-cam1.bin -O /boot/dt-blob.bin" then I lose the access to mice and stay the way I sent you

usb should already be enabled on the CM4. I don't know, i would ask BTT at this point Ask them how to use the Pad5 with raspberry pi os bullseye Also make sure you're using the 32-bit version.

I saw that the 32-bit one says it's up to 1 gigabyte and since I have 2 I was using the 64. I'm going to test it now with the 32 and I'll come back soon to give you news

No it says "64-bit needs at the very least 1 gb". There's no benefit to the 64-bit version (in fact the opposite) unless you have more than 4gb ram that you need to access.

that might be it... was using the old version until now. today that I went to update to the new version that started the error. I'm already uploading system 32 here for testing.

I did the test here with 32 but it doesn't enter in the Rats.local/configure. then I put the hdmi to see if there was any error and it continues that way, even without me enabling anything by putty.

Don't get hung up on that. HDMI may require it's own screen configuration. KlipperScreen is failing to start, thus you're not getting the KlipperScreen interface. There are other problems here, there should be no mention of Sonar anywhere for example. Also you have undervoltage issues. Why are you hooking up an HDMI screen if you're using the Pad 5?
but it doesn't enter in the Rats.local/configure
What does this mean? It says it's hosting the hotspot, so you should be able to connect to that hotspot. Though i would fix the undervoltage problems first (may cause instability).

actually I just connected the hdmi to see if there was any information because klipper didn't open. I did the whole process to install RatOS-v2.0.1 32bit. will be file corrupted? I already have a headache and I'm about to downgrade to get back to normal working heheheh

All i can say with confidence is that RatOS v2 works as intended on CM4. I do not have a Pad5 though.

although he talks about the access point, I can't find him anywhere. not even on my router to get the ip

Probably because you're undervolting the CM4 You need better power delivery Also your router wouldn't know about the hotspot It's not connected to your router, it's hosting it's own access point which you're supposed to connect to with a wifi capable device such as a laptop or a phone.

so in the 64bits version hostspot ratos appeared. now none appears despite saying it was created.

I have the same problem, I installed RatOS-v2.0.1 in balena and it works very well directly on the computer. However, Pad5 does not show the image even after adding the command from the BBT manual. The config file is empty without any command line. I believe it is a failure in the new updates from Ratos, as my Pad5 has not been updated 😦 With RatOS-v1.2.4 I have no problem with pad5

I have no idea what this means I'm not aware of any difference between 64 and 32-bit when it comes to the hotspot, please fix the other problems i mentioned first @3dinova I believe what you're experiencing is an incompatibility issue with the Pad5 screen and raspberry pi os bullseye. Please ask BTT support. You can also try MainsailOS (which RatOS is based on) and see if it works there. I'm guessing it doesn't.

now I finally got it. I used balela to play the mouse file on pad5. after that, he created the hotspots and did all the initial configuration of the mice before releasing the pad5 image. following that order it worked here.

I really appreciate the support you give us. Thank you very much, I'll see if I can get it here
