Ayeah sorry i hadn't elaborated earlier -- was on a phone and didn't really feel like typing a ton out, but essentially the framework should be -- the Effects tabs are for your own customizations, they will apply, by default, as long as the game doesn't override them. If you use sticky, then the game won't be allowed to override those effects. In the settings tab, with the sliders -- you can think of those as overall scaling/limiters for how powerful the effects both from your effects tab, and the game can be. So my general thing -- start with everything at 100% in Settings tab (except friction -- that effect has a very strong tendency to cause uncontrolled oscillations -- personally I cap it around 7% under settings, but generally speaking, very few games in my experience even apply a friction effect).

I understood the hirarchy of the effect tab and settings tab but somehow did not connect the fact that SPRING is the key to the whole thing working like it should, especially trim. With spring set to zero....the stick is far less alive for affects and trim does nothing

Aspring is basically what games use to force the stick back to center
Aand they may dynamically change that value over time to simulate air resistance and all that

KAwesome that you got it going. Looking back, I think I gave misleading configs. I had spring turned off and sticky unchecked in the effects section, but the spring (and master, periodic, intertia, and damper) in the settings tab are set to 100%, so I was utilizing the game spring function too.
KIt is really freakin cool when you feel your stick move along with the trim and just like in a real plane, tune in for straight and level with no input. FFB is equal to VR in creating a sense of awe while flying.

MYour guys are awsome. I used the wrong browser and I never saw the option to update the firmware. Now the buttons work as intendet. Thx to you all.
APeriodic effects appear to still be applied after I've ejected from the aircraft, I'm guessing that's not intended?

RI've noticed a significantly reduced damper effect on my X-axis (roll). Pull-and-release on the Y-axis results in a well damped return to center, while the same on the X-axis results in a springy overshoot and return, which gradually settles out to center.
Adjusting the effect percentage on the axis doesn't seem to make a noticeable difference. Disabling the effect results in the expected very bouncy return to center.
Intial effect levels are the same for both axis and the gain maps are 1:1. Using current firmware and app versions.

Rre calibration, I'm using the printed limiter set at 13 degrees y-axis, 10 degrees x-axis with axis calibrated after fitting.
Wwhat happens if you set both axis the same range - 1512 <> 2925
RMax reported deflection on the y-axis occurs at ~75% physical deflection, as expected. But, still bouncing on the x-axis.
WInteresting, how's the belt tension?
Raround 5mm displacement from the centreline on both axis. I don't recall what it was like when first received though.
RActually, quick comparison of the calibrated ranges vs setting both axis to 1512<>2925 and the y-axis now also has very reduced damping. Not quite as bouncy as the x-axis, but it's close.
R... if I pull the y-axis to its max physical deflection before releasing it.
Rscratch that, it's the same whether it's full physical or just to the reported max in relation to the reduction in damping.
