civilization 6: wont open
Hi, i've been since yesterday trying to open civilization 6 from epic and it wont load, heres my log in case it helps:

Error: EPERM: operation not permitted, mkdir '/run/user/1000/doc/818716f9/Civ 6' thats the main error, and i dont know how to fix it

Operation not permitted error means that you don't have sudo permisions to run/open file. Try running civilization 6 with sudo password.
Also can you please do 'sudo mkdir /run/user/1000/doc/818716f9/Civ 6'. This will ask you for the admin password but after that this command will create a new folder in this directory, so Heroic won't do it again because it's already done.
@NaikoReQlo The directory you installed the game into is not whitelisted in Heroic's permissions. When you selected it on install, you gave Heroic one-time permissions to read/write to it, but those got revoked once you closed Heroic again. Use Flatseal to give Heroic permissions to write to the directory, then select "Move Game" in the 3-dot menu on the game page & select the proper path
@Zombie_YT No offense, but those instructions won't help. Even if the error you described would be the issue, creating the directory as the superuser won't give your normal user (under which Heroic runs) access to it

in case it helps someone i fixed it by doing this command: "flatpak override --user --filesystem=/path/to/your/Heroic/Library com.heroicgameslauncher.hgl"
