Cloudflare Apps is unfortunately pretty much unmaintained and broken in some parts as it stands today. It’s something Cloudflare introduced a very long time ago. Many of the apps simply do not work today as they’re not something directly maintained by Cloudflare. I don’t believe it was ever officially deprecated, but you can pretty much treat it as such.

you say that you aren't sure if it's caused by Cloudflare or not. why not just disable proxying and see if the issue still persists?

hey all! what's nowadays the best way to diagnose orange-cloud TTFB on Cloudflare? I recall (vaguely) that some years ago Cloudflare used to have headers with timings (not accessible per se, but could be exposed through server-timing) – not seeing any now.

I remember there's been a blog post on this lately, but didn't seem those announced features landed on GraphQL API yet (or I might be using it wrong). Is there any way to see this on Traffic Analytics / any other way?

Responses can be buffered by cloudflare, if you go to https://dash.cloudflare.com/?to=/:account/:zone/network there's an option called "Response Buffering" make sure that is turned off. Sounds like that probably got enabled when its not what you wanted.

So, we're basically trying to accomplish a progress bar for a particular task on the server. So, our team decided to stream the response and process each chunk separately... So in the client we do something like this:

it is incredibly unlikely this is a Cloudflare issue. we do streaming in production with no problem (the TTFB is a little slow here because of the upfront processing we have to do, but you can see the response does get streamed in over several seconds)

since you haven't actually tested without Cloudflare proxying can you explain why you think it is related to Cloudflare?

Thank you so much for confirming it. I'm really sorry for taking you guys' time for this silly mistake of mine. I forgot to turn off buffering in nginx. It was solely a problem from that... I appreciate your efforts!
