Hi all, is there a way to restore a D1 from a backup? I have 2 databases - one has some data and the other is empty. I am trying to copy all the data from the first to the second. I was hoping that I could export a backup from the first one (which I was able to do) and then use the restore on the second (and hope to 'clone' the first it into the second - including structure and data)

edit: i was confused, backups are normal, time travel is on experimental

update your wrangler.toml to be:

could someone clarify me some things about D1? Is it based on sqlite, and, if yes, where can I find some list with supported features? Does it have support for foreign keys? can it be used with something like drizzle orm? thank you.

Check out the T4 stack: https://app.t4stack.com/ I am working with it now and using Drizzle with it. I struggle with what is available vs. not too, but FKs are supported. There isn't yet support for transactions.

thank you for the recommendation and the input. I kinda wish the D1 documentation was more explicit. I've found in the meantime on another page that D1 is based on SQLite, but I believe this is something that should be mentioned in the D1 docs. Anyway, I assume this is because D1 is still in alpha.

Drizzle specifically supports d1, you can see how to set it up in their documentation (https://orm.drizzle.team/docs/installation-and-db-connection/sqlite/d1). Foreign keys are also supported (as sqlite have support for foreign keys). I agree with you planetscales lack of support for FKs was such a pain
