No Amazon store games load on Deck
See related GitHub issue- I was directed here. Not game specific, all Amazon games behave the same. Regardless of Wine GE or Proton etc, games only sit at "playing" and get no further. Log in GitHub link. Let me know if I'm missing something obvious lol

Describe the bug As title indicates, I tried several different titles but as far as I can tell, no Amazon games store games launch at all on desktop mode or game mode, regardless of proton version....

Heroic 2.9.0 is broken rn

Once 2.9.1 releases and there's an issue then it's a valid one

No worries and thanks for the info! It was odd because Epic and GOG games still work fine, just Amazon haha. Anyway, I will wait for 2.9.1 and try again 😇

share the game log you are trying to run, maybe it's unrelated to Heroic issues but wine configuration

With proton I had a flatpak launch error, with Wine-GE-Latest I have a "nile launch: error: argument --wrapper: expected one argument"

Then it gives me the same error as when I use proton 8 - "FileNotFoundError: [Errno 2] No such file or directory: 'flatpak'"

Just update heroic to 2.9.0 through the discover store. But you will not be able to play anyway as is it broken already :d waiting for 2.9.1 as I'm also affected by the "no such file or directory: flatpak" issue

It is because nile uses flatpak cmd to check if some apps are installed, however, flatpak command does not exist inside of a flatpak runtime, which is the way Heroic is bundled if you install it by Discover

I doubt this is the ideal way to do this, but I have used
flatpak-spawn --host to run flatpak commands from within another flatpak app

Proton is not intended to be run with non-Steam games outside of Steam
GE-Proton also has a knack for failing to work outside of Steam as well
