help: seeking wedding day attire advice/suggestions!

Wedding day attire advice/suggestions? I am seeking your guidance on my upcoming August wedding attire. I have decided on a made-to-measure 3-piece navy suit(& white shirt) complemented by black Allen Edmonds oxfords ( https://www.allenedmonds.com/product/mens-park-avenue-cap-toe-oxford-dress-shoe-3023014/black-ec4001390), which I feel confident in. I've ordered this beautiful 7-fold silver tie from Isaia (https://www.isaia.it/shop/accessories/ties_pocket-squares/CRV007/000/CV188/02). I'm particularly fond of the understated elegance it offers. I'm yet to order a pocket square though, and this is where I need your assistance. Here's the conundrum: I am contemplating a large pattern pocket square but unsure if it might clash with a boutonnière, potentially becoming overwhelming or distracting. As the wedding day draws nearer, I find myself questioning whether I should go for it or opt for something a bit more subdued. I am also open to suggestions regarding boutonnière styles or colors that would complement the aforementioned ensemble. In the end, I'm seeking that ideal balance between personal style, comfort, and traditional wedding elegance. Any and all feedback or recommendations would be immensely appreciated. Your expertise and shared experiences could help make my wedding day even more memorable. Thank you!

White Linen is hard to go wrong with, especially if you're wearing a silver tie and boutonniere. For the boutonnieres, what colour(s) are the flowers? You could aim to complement them.

I’m working with my fiancé on it. We went with jewel tone color scheme for our wedding.

TL;DR white linen pocket square is an always-winner. Otherwise my personal preference is for a painting/drawing/single large design on white background, or, if not that, then a single large design on a full-color square. Given the tie you chose, the latter two both may work well, depending on specific choices.

So, I posted the same question on the subreddit. Based on the replies there, I’m second guessing my tie choice.

I see nothing wrong with your tie choice. It's not exactly a classic wedding tie, but it's close enough to one that I'd say it counts. Their website is shit and I can't find its dimensions, neither length nor width, so I will assume it's "normal." Not too skinny. It's a nice silver, but with texture. I can't imagine the tie itself being bad from Isaia. So yeah, a tie that's wedding-tie or wedding-tie-adjacent, for a wedding? Thumbs up, bro. If you were hesitant, my only actionable advice would be that there are many high quality ties that are either silver or resolve as silver, you can buy second hand in almost new condition, for much much much less than $275. But you didn't ask for that advice so you don't need it. :P And if you love that specific tie, I doubt I could find that specific tie or an identical one anywhere else.

Thank you for that! That gives me some perspective. 😁

“6. Remember, one bold element. Multi-paisley tie? White square. Navy tie, white shirt, charcoal jacket? Okay, maybe a poofed printed square.” This really helps. I’ve narrowed it down to these options:

I prefer the square on the left, but being really nitpicky, it might have too much navy for a navy jacket. The one on the right might work better with a navy jacket, but I feel it has too many small repeating elements. /shrug
