Is Svensson Classic Low White worth it?
Hey everyone!
I’ve been researching about white leather shoes since I bought a cheap Aldo one last year and really liked it but now since it’s cheap it’s all messed up now. Since it has been one of my staples, I’m looking to invest on some really good white leather shoes and have seen these Svensson Classic Low White (https://svenssonshop.com/product/classic-low-white/) in the White Shoes guide of MFA.
For those who have bought one of these, are they worth it? Also, since I’ve read that buying a size smaller is recommended, should I buy a US 7 since I’m usually a US 7.5?
If there’s something better that is <€200, let me know. I just like Svensson because of all the reviews I’ve read and because I’m gonna be based in Sweden where it is sold.
Thank you everyone and have a nice day!

I don't know about the classic low specifically but I have the GATs and I've used them for nearly 5 years now and theyre still good and the leather looks good
Thanks for the reply! How do you take care of them? Like how do you maintain and clean them?
Can consider Oliver Cabell too
I don't clean them. I use shoe trees for them when I remember, that's about as much maintenance as I do
Do you think it’s better than Svenssons? I’ll take a look at the reviews of it too thanks!
Oliver Cabell is a very consistently complained about brand fwiw.
I chose Oliver Cabell because I heard it had a wider fit, which suits my feet more than the narrow silhouettes of common projects etc. There are definitely some niggling quality issues like the golden lettering fading, but the benefit of getting to try in store (I visited NYC) and compare between that and the Koio was worth it to me.
Afaik Svenssons is good quality but you can’t try it in store. I guess you can allocate 50 bucks or so to all the shipping and returns you will have to do just to get the right fit, but I was not gonna do that.
I have a pair of the svensson low whites and low black. I wore the black near 4-5 days a week the past year and they are holding up great
That’s good to hear! How did you deal with the shoe size? Did you size down as recommended?
I bought a pair recently, like them, i went tts, and they are just a little big. The default lacing makes it so you can’t really tighten them, but with normal cross-lacing they fit well tts
Thanks for the info! I guess it is better to size down from tts right?
