Ahaving again installed my mcgu grip I realized that a 600g stick is actually heavier than a 200g stick so adaptive recentering sounds interesting
WIt tries to minimize the error where the stick is to where the stick should be, over time
JA message of hope to all who feel like the wait for their Rhino is interminable: My originally assigned serial number was 219. The serial number on my unit that just shipped to me is 165. I don't know if folks are backing out of their orders because they've opted to go the kit route or just weren't that serious, but either way, I'm getting my Rhino many months sooner than I ever expected.
Asounds a slight tiny bit scary potentially, but I might have to give it a go
RWill this be used in conjunction with the current options to recentering or do those need to be unchecked?

PI've used HidHide to specifically hide HID devices and forgot about it.
PUnhidden the device and TelemFFB works as it should. Doh!

AI tested stuff with the new centering thing and I can conclude that there isn't a lot of change if you don't have the feature enabled

WYeah, you need to connect all switches to common ground an the other terminal to each of the data lines.

NIt actually makes a pretty big difference for me. I like a medium amount of dampen on the stick so without the new setting it is always just a tad off of center depending on which direction the stick was deflected.. with the new adaptive recentering it always 'finds home'..

LI like adaptive recentering better with Mi-8, pitch seems easier to keep. I have a 20 cm extension.

JPlease note that the cable between mainboard and shift register is not too long. Had massive problems with a cable about 25cm long.

BSome helicopters (e.g. Airbus H145) have full-time stability augmentation/autpilot systems that connect to all three controls (cyclic, collective, and pedals), so the pedals are on actuators that lets Otto move the pedals as needed to maintain direction. E.g. in more recent builds of the Hype H145 for MSFS, you can actually see the pedals "snap" slightly as you lift off to the position that eliminates any yaw. (Now that I think about that, I guess maybe there is a reason to have FFB on the pedals after all, at least for some aircraft. Earlier, I posted a "why bother?" note about going to the trouble...)
RThis new update is excellent. Adapt centeting works well.
PI mean, you can trim pedals in Mi24 - so I'd like FFB pedals for that purpose too. At the moment I have the trim on pedals disabled because, well, I'd rather fly manual pedals all the time than have the horrible trim solutions in software... It's the same reason why I never bothered with force trim when I flew helicopters before I had the Rhino. I just flew the stick without trimming at all times. Worked fine, too.
TWorking with Dimitar, the main man at https://simfab.com/ to try and get an adaptor for his DCS Flight Sim Modular Cockpit product for the Rhino, along with my 200mm Virpil extension, which causes issues with the height of the grip relative to the chair (arse), and will let you know as and when I get a finished product and how well it goes, because he is a lot less expensive than Monstertech and only lives up the road from me in Boynton Beach, FL - 65 miles N of Miami.

CHello good people, I am now 18 Rhino's away from my order. I am more of a novice at flight sims but ordered the Rhino last year as it looked fantastic for DCS Helicopters. My question:
CCan I use the rhino in a central position using a normal office chair with 5 caster wheeled legs?
CI don't have a sim pit, I don't have a fancy setup and I don't have the space for a dedicated sim pit frame. Can I use a normal office chair and a Monster.tech Long Mount? Will I need an S-bend extension with a virpil grip?
Csorry for my noob questions!
TI'm in a similar boat. You'll want something sturdy to mount it to and something that will keep you from pushing away from it with the chair. I think an S-bend is almost required, even with the virpil S-bend I wish my stick was a bit closer
