Does anybody know how to use REDmod with cyberpunk?

I have it installed through the dlc manager, but I have to enable it with REDlauncher. However when I try to start the redprelauncher.exe it just goes straight to the game without loading any mods.

Are there any DLL files included in the mods or manager?

REDprelauncher.exe is the exe you should select but first of all you should send the game log https://discord.com/channels/812703221789097985/1044301598018515105 this is Cyberpunk from Epic Games right?

add alternative Executable to run in game settings and select REDprelauncher.exe found in game directory

yeah i tried that, it just skips the launcher and goes straight to the game

ah, this is loading installed mods as specified I think I know what's going on it should install the launcher somewhere in prefix I didn't use REDMod yet, so I'm not sure what to expect here

okay, after running the uninstaller in the prefix and then running redprelauncher again, it results in a black screen for the launcher.

send the new log then, it should show missing dependencies

idk, i have to ask you stuff first why did you add winmm in the first place is it needed?
vicious-gold

this guide said so

genetic-orange3y ago
well you added an extra .dll and that env variable in the guide is wrong I think it has to be like that I think: WINEDLLOVERRIDES="winmm=n,b;version=n,b" but maybe you can do it the other way too im not sure

I don’t think I have ever seen winmm as one needing an override before But if it is, it’s cleaner to set the value to winmm, version=n,b

did you add any mods to test if they are actually loaded? looks like CDPR made some weird integartion between Galaxy and REDMod with ability to enable and disable specific mods not sure to what extend will it work without that integration in Heroic even though, this only applies to REDmod based mods you can still access variety of mods btw, it's not suppposed to show any launcher in between

But when I try to run the launcher it shows a black box the same size and shape as the launcher in the Witcher 3 and the logs start rambling about a launcher and a variety of cdpr games. Okay I worked out, I had to start cmd in the cyberpunk directory and then navigate to
./tools/redmod/bin/
./tools/redmod/bin/
and run
redMod.exe deploy
redMod.exe deploy
This loaded all the mods correctly, oddly enough this isn't to be found in any guides, I imagine redlauncher and galaxy run this tool under the hood.

I'll dig into the topic more, we might add similar support for it eventually I didn't thought to run redMod directly
