Bought the ALD vest, bricked hella fits despite thinking it would be a really nice summer layer, now I'm tryna sell it.
On the flip side bought the Uniqlo U utility jacket and found its one of my favorite jackets cause I don't have any other cropped jackets, though its a bit light once the temps start falling.
I bought an oversized white overshirt like 3 years ago from the kooples deep discounted and I always thought it was too big until recently when I realized it was so amazingly oversized
Meanwhile I also bought a kaptain sunshine poncho thing at wastelands for my birthday 2 years ago for $200 that I can’t wear for the life of me
This polo rl jacket was something i saw at a vintage store and was like eh i dont think i need it. I went home and yearned for it for like a month and went back on a whim to see if they still had it and somehow it was still there. I just wear it constantly in the fall/winter/early spring now. It goes with everything, its extremely comfy, and it feels like me. I have to talk ahead of time with my girlfriend about who gets to wear it on which day cause we both like wearing it so much.
I’m starting to love zippered jackets again and this is perfect
Ive seen a few of these pop up on ebay at reasonably prices in good materials!
Lots of cool deets like the western yoke and nearly vertical pockets
I got this huge white dress shirt like a year ago because I needed one to wear with my huge red suit and I’ve recently really fallen in love with it, crazy how many different ways you can push something so simple
jacket and vest in question, realized i should add pictures.
Planning ahead on who’s wearing what jacket, so relatable
these Levi red warped cuts were like a $20 add on to a yjp order and they’re like my fav
Oh those are sick
Most of the time when I buy something, I fall in love with it and then wear it way too much until I find the next thing
Unexpectedly useful are my black birks, which I bought on a complete whim and ended up being the shoe that I wore the most this summer. Unexpectedly not useful are the black nubuck boots which I thought I'd wear a lot but they don't really go with the vibe I'm feeling these days.
I feel like the vest would have worked better if it was more cropped
A persistent problem with my clothes is nothing fits me in the chest without being too long in the body
I think my mist surprising purchase were these 40’s officer chinos. Bought on a whim cause they were cheap but they have become probably my favorite pants. Perfect fit and the length and width of the leg is just so good. I have a couple pairs now but the one pictured is my favorite cause they are very soft and worn in
Yah i feel yah, 48 in chest means unless you buy things intentionally cropped fitting its almost always too long
ya pretty much, thinking about cropping a sweater or something for a bunch of looks lol
I’ve raw hemmed a bunch of tees now, the fit is nicer and i like how the fabric rolls at the bottom
Absolutely this Kapital bucket hat. Bought it on a whim because it was on sale and now I wear it all the time
I have AnnD backlaces thinking they’d be a good combat boot. They never see use because the toe box sucks! They look great on a shelf.
I was gifted original Yeezys
And they defied all expectations as party shoes
I didn’t think they actually would work w my stuff but mostly fit
silhouette and rise on these chinos is great
OK, here's a really minor example. I bought a plain white tee from J Crew for mostly dumb reasons (it was cheap, I saw lots of them in your fit pics, and I was trying to be open-minded (not every shirt needs to be navy blue), and I didn't realize it had a pocket because it was an impulse purchase while while lying in bed without my glasses). Now? Crap, I think I need more plain white tees.
Conversely, 2 pairs of chinos from J Crew. So versatile! Nope, just kinda boring, and they don't even fit that well.
