Trying to get to Elder Scrolls Online Working with Winetricks but Winetricks not working
Hi! I have been trying to get ESO working on linux mint through heroic appimage. Downloaded the game files and such through run exe through prefix. Game also runs through that, but login codes aren't sent by game. Solution for that I found online is to run through the epic games launcher which is not working and fix for that is to install dotnet48 with Winetricks. Here is the problem, that winetricks doesn't run. Included the log file.

so without winetricks opening i cant install the dotnet48
i have painstakingly downloaded the game already with using run exe on prefix, it works for the launcher itself but not for egsstarter which is required for me to actually login

Just download the latest ci release

Thank god! for some weird reason eso launcher was capped at 500KBps and it took like 10 days to download 100GB of it

just tried to download the release of winetricks from its github

can access this too after vpn
nvm this, it was most likely because it was not yet connected to internet after online same error as earlier ones displayed
ok it fixed somehow dunno if it was VPN, or if I installed EOS overlay while vpn on, or I tried consecutively 5 times
it downloaded the dotnet48
and launched
but now problem is it restarted installation process
is there anyway to grab my already downloaded files and get it to recogise
I dont wanna risk redownloading it, if possible
ok figured out how to not download everything too
start with the downloading procedure
once it starts downloading
stop and exit
copy the game files you already downloaded to the new installation folder
only the huge data ones
and start the game again
and in game settings click repair
it will verify everything
and game will launch fine after clicking play
