Thumbs up or down on mismatched Stan Smith’s?
I think it has some limited potential with flannels or something similar? First pic is a good example, second pic… not so much (Borat voice) because I’m guessing it would look out of place? Just curious on thoughts before I embarrass myself on a whim lmao

I feel like the contrast isn't enough to look intentional.
That’s a no from me big dog
Can I ask why?
Just sheer curiosity to be honest. Never really thought of it until now
I dont think it necessarily looks terrible but it would just look better if they matched.
I'd get shoes that are more colorful itself
I like the idea of asymmetric stuff but Stan Smiths doesn't strike me as interesting to do so
Asymmetric shoes have to be more subtle imo - these are too obvious. It's kind of like wearing mismatched socks, where it reads as trying a bit too hard to stand out or be loud.
As an example of asymmetric shoes done well, Needles has a great example. They look nearly identical at first glance, but one is based on the detailing of a Converse Jack Purcell, while the other is based on All Stars.
