If you are on pc, use OBS. It is the most well known. if your pc cannot run it due to rescourses theres a bunch of lower end laptop and pcs softwares. one i used to use was "OCAM" by "ohsoft" its really good for the lower end computers.
if you are on playstation you can use the built in screen recorders and then transfer it to your computer by uploading onto your youtube directly from the playstation as a private video then download it from pc and edit it (or your mobile phone if thats easier)
if you are on mobile phone i heavily suggest using "xrecorder" its good but the little floating icon thingy is annoying as hell. it still is the most smoothest one i have seen for free
