Orslow sizing?
Got these trousers on a sale. It’s a size 2 but it’s tight on the waist. Thinking if sizing up would be better.
But the rise also goes up? The size 2 is already a little roomy on my crotch.
Planning to either try to manage with these, try a size up, or just return.

yeah that sizing system sucks. is there any extra fabric that can be let out at the waist? The fit looks good otherwise so I would try either that or sizing up if you can, a little extra rise never hurts 🙂
I genuinely like the fit, but it’s tight while I’m standing and cant really sit down with it for too long.
Losing weight is also another option. Probably a bad idea to keep it for that reason tho lol
This is a problem I have with all orslow pants - the construct their waistbands with like zero give whatsoever. My recommendation is to return, I’ve had the same experience with like 3 different orslow pants
Sizing up didn’t help?
I mean, for me the problem is that the next size up doesn’t exist 😬
You could give it a try, but I also think high rise pants that don’t either have a slightly rounded waistband or the little v split seam at the back are capable of being comfortable when sitting
Fair enough I hear ya. Just frustrating when it all works out but just one little (but significant) bit is wrong. 🫠
You will find better! Imo pants are the most difficult item to shop for, but your ideal pair is out there trust me
(If you’re looking for double pleated ecru pants, I recommend taking a look at mfpen as an alternative)
Nice thank you!
Im looking for double pleated trousers (wide) in either khaki or ivory. Just been browsing forever.
So far on the list are:
UW Double pleats
Beams plus pleats
there's also casatlantic, not sure if they're within your budget: https://www.casatlantic.com/collections/tanger
Casatlantic
Tanger - Officer's Cut | Casatlantic
Tanger is our widest cut, inspired by the type of trousers worn by french army officers in the 1950s.
Beams plus double pleats suck unless you’re really on the shorter end. I will never understand why they cut their inseams THAT short
which sucks because they look sooo good
I had a pair of uw fatigues a while ago that were unexpectedly nice so it’s worth giving a try
I saw this one actually! But sold out 🫠
I just got the uw fatigues in green actually and I love the fit
Have you bought from them before? Hows the sizing?
yep! in my experience their size charts are accurate. i screwed up on the waist sizing and got a size too small but there was about 1.5” of fabric so i had my tailor let them out a bit
Did you take your usual pants size?
I did and they were like half an inch too slim in the waist, but that’s on me for measuring in the wrong place
If I usually take a size 30 would you recommend I prder the same size?
probably, but definitely double check the measurements on their site against yours/a pair of pants you already own
gotcha. Thank you!
It japanese 😂 really nice pants however
If it feels roomy in the crotch are you wearing them as high on your waist as you could/should?
It goes way past my bellow button if pull them up further
Some might say that's a feature not a bug on higher rise trousers.
Pointing to where my belly button is
Does it look too high?
To me no, not for that style of trouser but if you don't like it that's fine! Waist still looks a little pulled taut though.
Yeah probably too small for me. I’ll just return it
Also gives me like weird diaper thing when I sit down
