Oh, and just to add, if you want to get to desktop mode, run systemctl disable bazzite-autologin.servicesystemctl disable bazzite-autologin.service. In order to do that, you'll need to plug in a keyboard, press ctrl, alt, and a function key (F1-F12)

I ran these commands, removed those lines, saved the file and switched back from the TTY. When trying to switch to Desktop mode I got a "verifying installation" splash-screen and then was returned to game mode.

It's likely that there's just a lot of changes being made on our end. Most of those updates are from us. Every time the image rebuilds, there's an update

that answers my other question; I wasn't sure if those update alerts were "false positives" because Valve was doing updates but didn't know I was running Bazzite. I had applied them in the past with no issue, but I was always a bit sus of them, and had been doing just update-systemjust update-system in desktop mode

If you edit that same file (steamos-session-select) and at the top remove the line setting BASE_IMAGE_NAME and replace it with BASE_IMAGE_NAME=kinoiteBASE_IMAGE_NAME=kinoite or silverbluesilverblue depending on what image you have installed... does that fix it?
