Cyberpunk 2077 (GOG) doesn't start after update
Just downloaded an update for Cyberpunk 2077 on GOG, and now it freezes after the third splash screen.
Anyone else get this problem? Log attached from like the 5th attempt to start it since the update.

It is a heroic issue, just did a fresh install via gog galaxy in bottles flatpak and it runs fine

that doesn't sound right, the game does not depend on that
currently you can add DLCs only when reinstalling the game, unless you use bleeding edge build like explained in the issue linked above

Hi. Similar issue on steam deck. The game crashes on the second or third splash screens, before the main menu. Both in desktop and game modes. I uninstalled and reinstalled according to the link above.
Unfortunately I can't share the log because I have no browser/discord installed on my deck at the moment.

Looking at the situation on Twitter and the GOG forum, it seems to be a problem with the new hotfix. Not seeing the issue come up in the Steam forum, though.

they changed the manifest quite a bit :/
although that shouldn't be any breaking change
you may also try installing dependencies from
__redist directory found in game folder

Like @Scumbunny ive not got Discord installed and the deck. It wont start at all with Wine selected, but looking at the logs, when Proton is selected it seems to fall back to Wine anyway.

not enough information from the other complaints in the forum to tell whether or not it's a Linux thing
but from inference; people with the Galaxy launcher didn't get the crash, so I'm guessing it's crashed because the game's trying to link up with a program that isn't there through that library
but yeah: delete the Galaxy64.dll file in Cyberpunk 2077/bin/src and we can run it now!
although someone just said this locks you out of the expansion, so maybe not a solution?

I tried on macos, but terminal is not responding to those commands.
the current state of it, it's a frozen screen, it works using gog macos version in the background.

3. Rename the copy of the “GOG” folder to “null”

just a quick question this fix worked for me an now i am able to play the game but the button hints are for controller and that disables some mouse and keyboard functions like toggle crouch and so on? anyone has the same issue or even a fix?

if i don't recall bad back when iw as doing the cloud backup it did say like something no found or something but this savegame is my very first play through, which is where i only did the mainstory and bbarely any side content. where as in my new build im doing a ton of side content i had higher streed cred and etc.

but again the routing could have been wrong as it was now, it's fixed now tho.
