black jeans

I'm tempted these days to buy black jeans but I don't often see them in your Waywt outfits. Do you think a black 501 would work for going to the office with an ocbd shirt? I dress smart casual a the office and I always tried to follow the basic wardrobe guidelines .

i wear black jeans to the office all the time and i think they're a great look to 'dress up' a little but still keeping things casual. 501s are classic, though i prefer a slimmer look and not as high of a rise so i tend to go with 511s if i do levis. ive owned some black selvedge denim from uniqlo which were a nice deep black and surprisingly good for the price. currently my black office jeans are from rag&bone, kato, and AG

Black 501s with a casual shirt is a good pairing, here's one of my black 501 fits: https://discord.com/channels/1116793467654381685/1116800072093532191/1143257138945331202

i think the 511 is one of their most popular cuts so hopefully wont be too hard to find, but it depends on how slim you like your jeans

511s are pretty off trend right now, I would go for 501s. 501s also aren't very wide and aren't high rise, it's a pretty middle of the road cut. The main thing is they don't have taper.

Ok i have tried recently to quit my slim chinos and denim so maybe the 501 will be better for what i am searching

Yeah worth a shot, it's really not too much wider than the 511. It's not like fatigues or something

514s might work as well for a straight leg

514 is kinda in between 501 and 511, slimmer than 501 but not tapered like 511. Rise is also lower than 501 (I have all 3). Levi's is also notoriously inconsistent, so keep that in mind
