Non-Polyester Fleece/Sherpa Mid-layers
While browsing around, I came across this Icebreaker fleece made of merino wool. I don't really like the look of this particular fleece but it's the first I've seen that isn't just polyester. Does anyone know of other brands producing similar items? I'm also interested in "sherpa" jackets such as levi truckers but with similar materials.
No specific budget in mind as I'm mostly looking for inspo, but I'll say under $1k just to somewhat clamp results.
To be clear, they don't have to be merino but just something more eco-conscious/sustainable than polyester. I've got a number of polyester pieces already and don't want to add any more. Shearling is fine too though I'm more interested in other materials since I'm already aware of that.

Smartwool comes to mind. They have a lot of jackets, sweaters, and mid layers that use primarily wool, although they do use some synthetics as well.
Shearling or mouton would be the best bet since those are what sherpa and polyester fleece are based on. I would just buy polyester fleeces secondhand since they're already out there. It's really difficult for fashion to be sustainable but that's a whole other topic.
there is some really nice poly fleece out there, I would not write it off if you haven't experienced it already
Like I said, I already own a number of vintage polyester pieces which are nice. I have a late 80s Levi Sherpa Trucker that is one of my go-to jackets for the winter. I'm just trying to avoid buying more and was curious about other options that may exist.
Edit: sorry that comment was a bit rude. I appreciate the suggestion, but am afraid it's not really what I'm looking for. That being said I might look more into mouton. I don't remember seeing much of it specifically vs shearling (if there's even a strict difference).
Thanks, it looks like smartwool and wool&prince both have a fair number of fleece midlayers. I don't see anything brushed like the pic in OP, but I didn't specify that.
Smartwool, Icebreaker, and Ibex make wool base and mid layers.
I think you misunderstood raisin's comment. Cotton, wool, and poly fleece all exist but the very fluffy, fuzzy coats that you're looking for are a natural wool fleece, often shearling (basically a leather jacket where the wool is still on the skin), or it's a synthetic version of that (sherpa or poly fleece)
