I also find the language around _routes.json confusing:
docs say:
Create a _routes.json file to control when your Function is invoked. It should be placed in the output directory of your project.
which I assume refers this config:
Build command:
npm run build
Build output directory:
/dist
Root directory:
/
Build comments on pull requests:
Enabled

but function page says:
Invocation routes

Invocation routes determine when your Functions script is executed. This file is generated based on the files present in the /functions directory.

which neither placing in functions, dist, or root seemed to change the Invocation routes

Hey guys, I have a question.

I have a nextjs static site, all HTML, js and css. No server side rendering.
I want to have the nextjs app generate a bunch of static "websites" for different clients.

Then (I'm not sure if I can do this) I want to intercept all the request to the pages IP and based on the host, fetch the correct ASSETS.

Imagine: client1.com -> Pages Function -> Retrieve static file from ASSETS/client1/index.html

I'm trying to work with the

_worker.js

file, but it seems that cloudflare is not picking it.

Can anyone help, plz?

Caches by default and any Cache applied on top of it will actually make things worse because then the cache won't be properly purged during updates to your Pages site.

Compat Flags/Dates are there to ensure that Workers never break. Someone’s script may rely on a flag not being set, which would break if it was set by default

I can run the Worker AI (different code). However I'd like to run the AI model within a Pages function as well. Am I missing something here?

With Functions, generally you can’t. There’s very little options in terms of custom bundling, and that specific error is from esbuild anyways.

If you did want NodeJS crypto; you add the compatibility flag in Pages Functions settings in the dashboard and do a new deployment but it needs to be referenced as node:crypto, not just crypto
