FYes right out of the box. In the configurator I set the stick as if it was the vpc mongoost-50 so the hats can behave like hats or buttons. Otherwise they just behave like buttons. I let hat 1 (coolie hat) behave like hats and set the other ones as buttons.

WTM grips are pretty simple, they should 'just work'
SI will try an reconnect it tomorrow and write in the support - I use a virpil extension
FTry it without the extension first. Maybe the extension cable is faulty.
FThe only reason I set it as vpc mt-50 is so I can use the coolie hat as 8 way hat.
SYes I will try - but it should work I used the same extension and same stick with my mongoose base and everything worked fine

NIDK.. unlikely is my guess.. but c'mon.. FFB is FFB.. sidewinders are a dime a dozen on ebay if your only interested in dev testing

Aand the things you might do on a lower end device, may not translate well to a rhino

Nwell, I often see developer responses to queries about FFB fixes and/or implementations as "we don't have a device".. which is more of what the spirit of my response was referring to
Aand the spirit of my trying to fix that problem 
WI do offer the developers of modules a cancelled spot in the queue, so if they want they could obtain a Rhino quite quickly. A dev from Polychop did reach out to me, but for some reason did not follow through yet with the order.
WAlso a Rhino is quite useful for developing FFB since it has the live debug view of the effects

BI think I ran into this just yesterday. I have a new VKB FSM-GA autopilot module that I was configuring, and the AP in MSFS kept kicking off b/c I had some hardware trim applied. Is that what this fixes?
NIt doesn't 'fix' anything, per se.. but it does allow you to control how much virtual stick movement occurs as a result of the physical stick movement. During testing, @smitty981 said he had previously had an trim issue with the AP in the Comanche that he was able to solve with the this trim following implementation.
Syep i have a hardware trim axis made with a somewhat noisy potentiometer, so in the control sensitivity i had a deazone in the middle. even before vpforce if i left the trim wheel out of the deadzone with AP on, the noise would send a new value and make AP twitch a bit. so i turn on AP and slowly rotate it back to the deadzone. if you use the trim up down buttons or an encoder-based trim wheel it's not an issue.
NThe big difference here compared to hardware trim is that hardware trim has no insight into the state of the aircraft. You set the trim, which just moves the stick spring center offset, which moves the axis by an equal amount. Whether you later engage AP or not, HW trim does not know and the stick offset will remain until you change or reset it.
With this new TelemFFB implementation, the trim movement of the stick is actually following the trim values as read from the sim (so you'll want to have your trim hats bound in the sim). The gain settings affect how much the physical stick moves in response to the trim value changing, and how much the virtual stick moves in response to the physical stick movement.
When you switch AP on, the elevator axis continues to follow the trim reading from the sim (since thats what APs use to adjust pitch). The aileron/rudder following reads the actual control surface deflection to determine how much to move the physical stick.
With this new TelemFFB implementation, the trim movement of the stick is actually following the trim values as read from the sim (so you'll want to have your trim hats bound in the sim). Gdoes anybody own a virpil collective chair mount? im curious to know ho high the spacers are
NI'm not familiar with the mount (don't have one), but I am familiar with trying to get dimensions for virpil products. Have you looked at the thread on their forums where they post a lot of additional drawings and dimensions that aren't on the product page? It's on the russian side of the forums (so you may need a translator plugin for your browser)

BThank you for that detailed 'splainin'. Question: why is the trim hat functionality (U/D/L/R, that can be done in the configurator's HW Force Trim setup) not implemented in TelemFFB? I use it all of the time for things like the MD500E and MD530F, but it would be nice to switch it off for other aircraft. Is it some kind of technical issue?
