heat pumps are a good idea in theory but you often get charged approaching 1000% (yes thats the correct number of zeroes) to get them installed because hvac companies are scam-happy

ive actually seen at least one case where the hvac company said the person needed a unit 5 times as strong as was actually needed and then charged about 10 times the list price of that unit to install it
