Pocket Square / Tie Recommendations
Hi everyone! First time posting since the subreddit blackout. Nice to see everyone!
I am attending my cousin's wedding in about three weeks. The invitation specified Semi-Formal/Cocktail attire, but I know some of my family are going to come underdressed. This is honestly the first Semi-Formal event I've ever attended, so I want to look nice.
I'm going to wear a typical navy wool suit--3.5" lapels, flap pockets, notch lapel, etc.--with brown oxfords
Would a nice OCBD with a good collar roll be a good pick, or should I stick with a poplin dress shirt? I have both in white, light blue, and pink
What kind of tie or pocket square should I wear? I'm thinking of a white pocket square for versatility. Would a burgundy tie be a good choice? Should I go with grenadine, spotted, or some other pattern? Wider ties are in, and the width should be close to the width of my lapels, right?
How is the quality at The Tie Bar? I rarely ever need to wear a tie or pocket square, so I don't really want to drop a ton of money at a place like Kent Wang. Other suggestions are welcome!
