it depends what you're posting. For example, if youre posting a video about a funny soccer fail, you use soccer, sports, fitness, football, fail, funny, etc. If you use irrelevant tags like barbie, fashion etc, people interested in these categories will get your video in their feed and swipe past it because theyre not interested in it, which will damage your viewed:shown ratio, which means the alg will think its a bad video and not show it to people anymore. on the flipside if you dont use any hashtags, the video won't get pushed at all because the alg wont know where to push it. takeaway: use as many hashtags as you can, but don't use any irrelevant ones.
