Can't seem to install Metro Exodus enhanced edition

As the title says. I can only see Metro Exodus, I don't see an option to select the enhanced version.

That's the "Heroic" log, "Epic/Legendary" is right below that one in the list

I can 100% install and run the non-enhanced version, no problemo, it's just that I don't see an option to select the enhanced version ah my bad, in a sec GOG log (the game is from GOG):

Oh hang on, I was thinking you got the game on Epic Better DLC management for GOG games is planned, as far as I know (to be specific, the enhanced edition is on a different "branch", which is not something we currently support) For now, you can manually download the installers from GOG & run them with "Run EXE on Prefix" in the game settings

we are working on supporting that. The best solution to get that version is either using Galaxy or getting installers from the the website

I got gigabit internet so it's not a problem for me to test it out I also backed up my save files

if you want to, try it. You'll be able to change branches on the installed game in Modify Install option available on the game page

ah so I have to install it first to be able to change the branch (as I didn't see it during the initial install process)? Got it. Probably not a good idea that I already uninstalled it 😄 No problem, it'll take like 20 minutes if even that to install it

I mean I guess I can see why but it'll deff take up way more space and can potentially damage the SSD if it's being done like that when a game has 100+ GBs more like an hour as I'm installing it on a HDD as opposed to an SSD

yeah, but this is the only game this big that has branches well, there is also Cyberpunk and The Witcher but only to have old versions

Maybe for now, but considering how games are getting larger and larger I wouldn't be surprised if a game now like cyberpunk gets a remaster for an RTX 7090 and 500GB of needed space maybe rip off the bandaid at the start now while it's not being used idk Writing stuff here for the PR potentially

it creates a prefix folder but with no content and it sayd drive_c folder is missing I did now create it manually but it's still not working, going to put new logs now

all tried by running game, by running winecfg and winetricks switching to 2.10 created the prefix installing the other branch of heroic rq

I did start the game with 2.10 and it didn't have ray tracing as an option which is only present on the enhanced edition

40 minutes to go and test it out kekw I don't wanna bork my nvme due to this Ok that branch seems to have prefixes borked but it is installing the enhanced version of metro Although I don't like the look of it so I'm just gonna use the OG version of it
