it's in good shape now. if an update happens and something breaks, you can rollback to the previous update you had and it should be fine (your userdata stays in tact)
I use Bazzite on my desktop. Basically because I used Fedora Kinoite, and Bazzite has all of the stuff I'd add to my Fedora Kinoite install, so why not use Bazzite?
i dont think im ever using stock fedora ever again (dont tell fedora devs that ) but it's nice to have a bunch of stuff i would have installed be preinstalled already here
i have super bad internet (2MB/s down on a good day), the last thing i want is an update when i'm like, gaming or something. my windows gaming pc has updates paused for that reason too
yeah i will say, a lot of this stuff benefits from having decent internet connection. i used to run 600KB/s down when i had shit DSL that was only in my area before 2014
also ignoring my internet and stuff i need dnf for, i'm also just not ready to try something imo still quite "bleeding edge" on a computer that i spend like 10 hours a day using. like, it needs to work
i never really worry about my PC failing from this ostree and container technology tbh. im more still concerned about things that can happen no matter the OS, like something with the filesystem messing up or something idk
