Website is super slow to load from China, anything i can do to improve it besides enterprise plan

Symptoms: I have a server hosted in Singapore and proxied by Cloudflare. It appears that users from China are having serious problem at loading the website. My questions: From what I can tell, most of the requests go to the Cloudflare nodes at U.S. which contributes the higher latency. It seems to be a quite common issue due to the unique internet architecture in China. I heard people said changing to a paid plan would help, but I'm not sure how much it would improve. The Cloudflare China Network looks promising but apparently I need to be in the enterprise plan to use it and I have to get an ICP license, which is ... I don't want to deal with that. Anything else I can do to improve this? Most of my audience would be from China, so this is a major issue, I would even consider to switch to other provider if there is a better solution out there.

Upgrading to a paid plan will definitely help your site use premium pops more often for traffic. But outside of being in china, which is costly and very time consuming, the best you can really do is just a tonne of micro optimisations in number of requests, domains, connections, etc. - every single byte reduction helps when optimising for china.

If you can drop your domain, I’m happy to take a quick look tomorrow and provide some web performance tips. You could also consider something like https://www.chinafy.com which I’ve heard good things about.
