Recommendations on trousers to wear with this jacket?
Hello, looking for some trousers (and/or shirts) to wear with this S&M jacket I just bought. I had thought that dark brown would work well but after trying it on something seems off. Link for reference: https://www.spierandmackay.com/product/undyed-hopsack---neo-cut-16750f6-nesc-01-ss23

Think summer. Sand, stone, lighter tans, light and mid gray, static blue, mid blue, navy. Especially in lighter fabrics of various sorts. Cotton-linen blends, silk blends, lightweight wools, etc.
I just did an image search for "beige blazer," and a lot of the pics have what look like black pants. But my first thought was blue, like something the shade of light wash jeans.
This definitely reads as a ‘warm weather’ color, but hopsack is versatile enough for you to extend it into Fall. My go-to for this would be olive and/or army green chinos, with brown accessories. Dark brown might be a little formal, but a rust, mid-brown, fox, etc. would really be in its wheelhouse. If you’re wearing this in cooler weather, this is a ‘day’ jacket for sure.
Everybody took the suggestions right from underneath my fingers. Look at the denim shirt. It works well so you can bring those (white and medium blue) colours down to the trousers. Because it's beige, you really have a blank canvas as long as the trouser colour doesn't "drag down" the eye below the belt. So, my no brainer picks for trousers would be white/cream/adjacent colours, medium wash denim, light to approaching mid grey, and light to approaching mid brown trousers.
Oh and olive/army/sage greens, like Call mentioned. Duh.
@ll.beansandrice🫘 ok
This looks awesome
I assume those aren't the dark brown pants you mentioned in the OP tho?
Oh yeah. Now that is a cohesive look right there. Nailed it,
Oh yeah, here are the brown trousers
See, these look great IMO. I object to your shoes, but that might be just what you had nearby.
I think your green chinos are a little washed out for Fall, but it’d look great in early Spring, with some less severe shoes.
What shoes would you recommend?
Maybe something like this burgundy derby: https://saintcrispins.com/products/elegant-swan-neck-derby

The shoes comes with hollowed shoe trees made from Maple, a piece of wood that offers unique properties of durability, beauty and staining feature. We added metal tips to protect the welt stitching on the tip for years to come.
The black works for the brown trousers, don’t get me wrong
I think that they’re what’s making it feel too formal to me
ahh, they are actually dark brown. The photo's a little washed out. Here's a product shot:
Ah, my bad!
Maybe not an Oxford. Maybe a split toe, with pebble grain or something?
Rad, thanks!
looks great king
