look for the crosover bottle name option in the settings and change it to

thx dude, via crossover command in crossover now it works. But still doest work in heroic app. Anyway game runs great.
A small sad update. The game itself runs right up to the menu. And everything seems to be working fine, but after choosing the game mode, it simply does not start and hangs in the eternal loading of the game itself. Plus a dark background in the menu itself (in video i saw there must me picture). Its in D3DMETAL mode (might be worked if having choice of DX12 instead of 11). In DXVK (DX crossover package was installed) its runs in upside down screen and have the same issues.

Forever Stuck in a Loading Screen
- How does the issue present itself?
Every time I attempt to start a game, I end up getting stuck on the loading screen. The game boots up just fine, I can play with my settings just fine, I have zero issues with people joining my games in DM...

try this:
- using winetricks, install
ie8
- then start the game
- at some point an internet explorer 8 windows should pop up
- for me the window is unresponsive but I can check in the system processes for the process and get the url it's trying to open (it will be something like https://epicgames.com/id/login?continuation=0..............&prompt=skip_merge%20skip_upgrade
- copy that url in your normal browser and it should open the epic auth screen
- accept that and go back to the game
now it won't get stuck in the loading screen
(I just had that issue trying the game)

I installed ie8 in a separate bottle, started the game, but nothing happened. Trying to install the application in Heroic bottle with the game was unsuccessful too, no matter what Windows system I choose of bottle, the same error occurs from 10 to xp.

Also tried to install first ie8 in a bottle then run the command (changed win xp to 7 but it was still in 32-bit format) and had this isssue

not a mac user so I'm not sure, but the way I installed ie8 was using the Winetricks option in heroic's settings (game settings > winetricks > search ie8 > install), not as a bottle, it's installed in the game's prefix (not sure if that's a thing on mac too)

hmmm try using a crossover version installed by heroic (use the wine manager section). this is what I see on a mac

Sry for might be stupid question, but what u mean by “using a crossover version installed by heroic”? If u mean this option, then when I try to download any version of crossover, heroic app in the end of downloading (on 99%) just shuts down with standard Mac OS pop up that this app was shut down. And when u open it again I have the same symbol that I can download it again

it's a known bug, you can try using 2.9.2 to download that version of wine until the next release, which will fix it

Installed other version 2.9.2 and crossover from wine manager. Now game starts in heroic app but only if i try to open it via game setting (run exe or prefix) and choosing exe of game. If I try to run it via standart method "play now" this massage appears (pic2)
Also still same issue with loading. I tried to install ie8 but when i try to click on winetrics button this window (pic1) appears and then closes instantly

yeah, 2.9.2 is not great for using winetricks on mac (it's known to miss dependencies), in 2.10.0 we implemented a small widget to not depend on winetricks UI to install components
maybe try using the
Run EXE in Prefix button and install firefox inside the prefix for example (just download it from their website)? I wonder if having any browser installed in the prefix helps (I always tried with ie8 cause it's just there with winetricks, but maybe firefox does the trick)
