i tried doing \logo\<image-name.png>
but it didnt work
same with background77 Replies
Have you restarted your container after adding the images?
Also, you have to mount the imgs folder to use it, otherwise the one mounted by default is icons
It seems you dropped the /imgs/ part of the addresses. Assuming /imgs/ is what you mounted (the default)
Such that:
/logo/<image-name.png>
Should read
/imgs/logo/<image-name.png>
what
Your homarr (probably) links to /imgs not to /logo.
So change the link to /imgs/logo/imagename.png
ahh so \imgs\logo<image-name.png>
like this?
Yes.
did not work sadly
sorry for late respond wasnt home :(
even restarted docker, still didnt work
Did you mount the imgs folder? It isn't mounted by default in the command you used earlier
how should i know that i mounted it?
i have it now like
\imgs\logo\<name.png>
Container, click on homarr, bind mounts tab
It'll list all the mounts accessible to homarr
oh yeah
her
here
Yeah, imgs is not mounted
how do i mount it? or should i just change the .png place?
Put it in icons, it should be fine
ok
ill try
what about backgrounds?
or the same, just change name
i need to restart docker now right?
Yes
okay give me a minute
nah still not working
/icons/<name.png>
The path to the logo should be /icons/logo.png
yes thats what i have it
or change name?
And you put your image in the icons folder
yep
If your logo is named srp.png then that's correct
restart docker again?
maybe?
Never hurts to
still not working
Try adding a dot at first
./icons/srp.png
like this?
still not working
Actually doesn't work with the dot, that's an old thing nvm
np
it doesnt work with or without
Frankly I don't see where the problem could be, it's in the right folder, I tried it locally with the same setup, you got it mounted. Unless you just didn't actually restart it should be working just fine
i restarted docker and quit it
restarted it twice
and quited then reopen it once
I said restart the container not docker...
oh
...
so
hows everything
restarting now
uhh
still doesnt work
Well, now I'm out of ideas
idk tbh
If you go in your container, files tab, and go down app > public > icons, do you see your files?
i see logo.png
(i changed its name)
7hours ago?
So it is mounted properly and seen as such
That's how old your file is, not when you moved it
oh okay
maybe try backgrounds?
if it worked then something is up
Try setting your logo as background for a quick test then
tried
didnt
:<
what to do now
Don't know, sorry
@explosive parrot I tried but I don't have any more ideas. He's got the right mount, right folder, file shows in docker desktop, right path. should be working but I might be missing something stupid here
That's the docker run
@Slay ♡ let's try an external icon.
Can you put http://homarr.dev/img/logo.svg
into logo and background?
I want to see if that works to start narrowing things down.
oka
give me a min
yeah it works
works for background too
okay i used imgur.com and it worked
Alright, can you go back to your logo.ong then provide a copy of your logs?
Purge anything sensitive if need be
huh?
Try using the logo from your files again, and provide a copy of the logs (We know it's not gonna work, just want to see if there are errors)
okay
where to get logs?
Click on container
It may not be working because of those errors somehow.
Fix plex app, use the ip instead of 127.0.0.1
ok
already using ip tho
Oh wait those are old old logs
external wasnt
Omg hold on
!
what
You still haven't restarted your container
what?
i did
like 3 times..
let me restart it again
ok
now i just restarted it
If you had your logs would contain this at every restart
it worked now
yeah it worked..
i swear i restarted it before wtf
well thanks
idk why it didnt work the first time now it did
