Hdistrobox-create --nvidia --image distro --name distro -Yreplace distro with what you want, if it has a docker image it should exist so you should be able to find most known base distros there (debian, ubuntu, fedora, centos, gentoo, etc)
support for different things can vary though so its usually good to stick to main bases until you get more familiar

KYeah, they are missing the vast majority of their pre-installed packages. That's not a problem though because the moment you install anything it'll pull in whatever it needs

MI was able to run the very questionable jc141 setup process using an arch distrobox. Last time I tried on steamos it was basically impossible.
